Sunshine Heroes Foundation Logo

Last year, in partnership with Sunshine Heroes Foundation, Nature's Sunshine helped fund the construction of the Sunshine Children's Center in Dominican Republic. More than half the population in this country earns less than one-fifth of the country's GDP, so many people lack adequate health and education opportunities.

This 9th Sunshine Children's Center will offer vocational training and a variety of health services, and with a basketball court adjacent to the building, it will give children a place to play.

Overview

Nature's Sunshine constantly strives to instill in all of its distributors a caring and helping spirit. For many years, we have shared the health and prosperity that we have been blessed with people around the world through our business and our philanthropic efforts. We have recently partnered with the Sunshine Heroes Foundation for many of our charitable endeavors.

As a major sponsor and founder, Nature's Sunshine has helped Sunshine Heroes renovate children's hospitals in Russia, build schools in Africa, and bring clean water to thousands children throughout Asia and the establishment of Sunshine Children's Centers throughout Central America. Moving forward, Nature's Sunshine will continue to support the Sunshine Heroes Foundation as they strive to improve the lives and opportunities of children around the world.

Sunshine Heroes Projects

In 2015, Sunshine Heroes built their eighth children's center in Bocas del Toro, Panama. Equipped with a training center and computer lab, library, health clinic, playground and even a small skate park, the center will serve more than 3,000 people annually. It is also the first and only American Institute for Safety and Health training center in Panama.

In 2014, Sunshine Heroes built their seventh Children's Center, equipped with a clinic, library, garden and playground. The center will serve over 3,000 people a year and is staffed and sponsored by the government and local communities. Watch the video below to learn more about this fantastic project!

Sunshine Heroes helped provide Bio-Sand water filters to four villages in northern Thailand to provide clean drinking water to more than 4,000 people in these remote areas. Made with local expertise and materials, these filters can last for decades as they work through natural processes and require no electricity, fuel or chemicals.
