→Description
This important nutrient for metabolism and energy production is referred to vitamin-like substances. It is believed that the need for L-carnitine is 300 - 900 mg, however, the physiological need for it is much higher and can exceed 1500 mg.
The main action of L-carnitine is based on the transfer of fatty acids across the mitochondrial membrane, where the latter are burned, releasing energy. And energy production is a key factor in supporting the work of the heart, muscle tissue, liver, CNS, kidneys and other organs.
Allows you to burn significant fat deposits, if you take the drug and exercise.
L-carnitine supplement can be recommended:
- as a cardioprotector - supports myocardial function in everyday life and in critical conditions;
- as a neuroprotector - improves brain performance and cognitive function in conditions of increased workload, as well as in acute and chronic diseases;
- as a hepatoprotectant - supports the work of liver cells, reducing the severity of fatty hepatosis and preventing the development of liver failure;
- as a fat burner in weight loss programs and sports in adults and children;
- as an antioxidant - it is a radical trap, destroys peroxides and raises the activity of antioxidant defense enzymes;
- for people involved in sports to increase energy production and support muscle tissue function.
NSP uses encapsulated L-carnitine, which is protected by a special shell made of cellulose derivatives and long-chain triglycerides, making it less hygroscopic than L-carnitine in its natural form and preserving its integrity on its way to the intestine.
Active Ingredients
L-carnitine is an amino butyric acid derivative and is formed in the body from the two essential amino acids lysine and methionine. It is formed in the body and is also present in food, mainly as part of meat products. But as calculations show, the own and food resources of L-carnitine is not enough for a person, given that its formation in the body reaches its maximum at 14 - 15 years, and with age only decreases. In addition, not uncommon cases of various congenital disorders of formation and metabolism of L-carnitine.
Indications for prescribing L-carnitine
Cardiac disorders:
- IBS, cardiomyopathy (decreased carnitine content in the heart muscle);
- acute coronary syndrome, myocardial infarction, postinfarction state;
- heart rhythm disorders (reduces the number of ventricular extrasystoles).
Skeletal musculature disorders:
- Myopathies
- increases physical endurance.
Hypotrophy in children and adults:
- Hypotrophies in children and body weight deficiency in adults;
- premature infants, delayed physical development;
- cancer cachexia.
Brain dysfunction:
- Chronic cerebral hypoxia;
- acute stroke;
- traumatic brain injury;
- epilepsy.
CNS diseases:
- CNS degeneration processes - stimulates nerve growth factor, accelerates regeneration of neurons and peripheral nerves;
- age-related disorders (Alzheimer's disease, senile dementia);
- Type 2 diabetes mellitus - slows down lesions of the nervous system;
- chronic fatigue syndrome (fatigue, drowsiness, hypotension);
- vegeto-vascular dystonia, asthenic syndrome;
- decreased performance of schoolchildren and students;
- increased mental stress;
- state of stress.
Also taking L-carnitine is recommended in viral hepatitis, urolithiasis, type 1 diabetes mellitus, respiratory distress syndrome, excessive body weight in children and adults, endothelial dysfunction, rehabilitation after serious illnesses, in the nutrition of the elderly (compensation for reduced endogenous education and deterioration of nutrition) and many other problems.
