Food Enzymes Nature's Sunshine

All foods require processing (during digestion), and only enzymes are able to break down food chains so that the beneficial substances in the intestines are fully absorbed into the bloodstream. A large number of different enzymes are needed to break down food compounds. Some of them are synthesized by the body, some of them are found in the foods themselves. However, heavily processed foods lose many of the enzymes needed for proper digestion.

The product formula supplements the enzymes produced:

• pepsin, used to break down protein chains in an acidic environment (betaine hydrochloride or HCl);
• pancreatin, synthesized by the pancreas, is needed to break down chains of proteins, carbohydrates and fats in an alkaline environment;
• alpha-amylase breaks down starch chains;
• papain and bromelain break down protein chains;
• bile acid salt makes fats soluble and prepares them for digestion by lipase.

One capsule will help you digest a minimum of 30g of protein, 30g of carbohydrates and 20g of fats. Each capsule provides 90mg alpha-amylase (mycozyme), 162mg betaine (HCl), 40mg bile salts, 50mg bromelain, 15 IU lipase (contains lactose from milk), 22mg pancreatin, 45mg papain and 60mg pepsin. Between meals, Food Enzymes acts as a support for immune system health.

Application:

1-2 caps. with meals 3 times daily. Can also be used between meals.
