→Every meal needs digesting. Only enzymes can split food chains so nutrients in the gut can pass into the blood. The body makes some enzymes; others arrive with raw foods. Heavily processed meals lose many of those enzymes.
This formula backs up your own enzymes:
- Pepsin breaks protein chains in an acid setting (with betaine hydrochloride / HCl);
- Pancreatin from the pancreas helps break proteins, carbohydrates and fats in an alkaline setting;
- Alpha-amylase breaks starch chains;
- Papain and bromelain break protein chains;
- Bile salts make fats soluble and ready for lipase.
One capsule can help digest at least 30 g protein, 30 g carbohydrate and 20 g fat. Each capsule provides alpha-amylase (mycozyme) 90 mg, betaine HCl 162 mg, bile salts 40 mg, bromelain 50 mg, lipase 15 IU (contains lactose from milk), pancreatin 22 mg, papain 45 mg and pepsin 60 mg. Between meals, Food Enzymes may also be used as everyday immune support.
How to take:
1–2 capsules with meals, three times daily. May also be taken between meals.
